When you pour your all into something you're passionate about, not a single ounce of energy is wasted. Originally a soccer player, Marissa, today's spring into summer fashionista, eventually switched to a sport she'd never heard of until her teenage years, field hockey. It was a cool yet quirky game which did not come as easy as soccer did, but Marissa was ready for the challenge. No journey ever goes smoothly, and she's faced her set of difficulties. This athlete's broken a nose and taken a concussion which have halted seasons for her. Yet, the reward far outweighs the risk. Through blood, sweat and tears, Marissa has been a varsity player and starter since freshman year and was awarded for being the best scoring offensive player.
As May progresses, summer only seems to be a day away bringing its lighter fashion style, long days, cool nights, and unforgettable experiences including those vacations! Aside from bringing her own lovely spring and summer fashion inspiration, Alina also carries warm memories of the small Dutch island off the coast of Venezuela, Aruba, and speaks of what makes it her favorite spot. Although still a young lady, she's traveled to the island ten times bringing home another adventure to share every visit. The island has just about everything one could ask for packed into seventy square miles. Most special is the time she gets to spend with her family since as she grows older, it becomes a much harder thing to do. From the beaches to the natives, Aruba is truly "One Happy Island."
Growing up, if there was one mode of transportation that never failed when you couldn't find a ride, it was a bike. Yet for many kids, it's more than just two wheels because biking can become an exciting sport in the form of BMX. Showing off his spring street fashion is Zach, an avid BMX rider who's been in love with it for as long as he can remember. His main environment for his passion is the street using handrails, curbs, stairs, ledges, and banks to create new challenges. In Zach's case, one man's neighborhood is another man's obstacle. Although indeed a little bit dangerous, the thrill of a new trick to be learned is why Zach has become so involved in this discipline.

To come out of your shell is a process that differs from person to person. There are those who are born ready to put themselves out there, and on the contrary, there are those who take a bit of time to really blossom. The most quiet people as a kid can one day become the most outgoing adults. All it takes is time. Angelina, whose presenting her own fashion style for today, admits that she use to be very shy and quiet because she feared being judged by the others around her. Kids would pick and pester Angelina back in her young years. As a result, she was afraid to be herself. This was all until Angelina reached high school, and like a click of a switch, she began to started to become a whole new person.
Life's a series of starts and finishes, ends and beginnings. When Alvaro, who's rocking some casual spring street wear, moved away from Long Island, he found himself in Central Jersey where a similar but new life awaited him. A string of social challenges presented themselves in a new location; however, Alvaro had to tackle his fears. Yet, it wasn't his first move either. He's originally an immigrant from Peru too, and Alvaro moved when he was nine. Luckily, at least this time he was just moving to another state instead of another country. Then again, any move can be a little bit nerve racking.
To fully understand what it means to be part of humanity, it is important to study and understand both our culture and our history which often get intertwined with each other. Juliette, today's April fashion featured individual, is well versed in each category and carries a vast knowledge of the eras that came before but is also in tune with her French heritage. Soon off to college, Juliette wishes to study in Canada which has a significant French-speaking population. Her love of history has also caused her to hopefully focus on that during her higher education, and someday, she wishes to help preserve artifacts of our anthropology which have the power to explain and recollect our human existence.
It's a hard thing to like school. Not many people enjoy waking up in the morning and having to go directly to an environment filled with work, but then again, doesn't everybody live that? Education is like a stepping stone, a preparation of a life to come. Yet, there's one major thing that separates this young existence from one of an adult, and that's the ability to let loose and have fun, an ability we have to cherish before it gets taken away. As Mike, today's April fashion featured individual, nearly completes his senior year of high school, he begins his transition into college and one day in the labor force. Looking back, high school was both the time of his life but also a time to work his butt off.
The only way of getting over the fear of the unknown is to accept it. Those of the words of today featured April fashion featured individual, Gabby. She's come back to the blog to share a few words of how true happiness is a mental state. No amount of material goods or success can put a smile on someone's face until they can truly appreciate it. It's ironic how the richest people in the world who have everything still long for more but the people who have very little can be the ones who are the most content. We are also a society that worries very much especially about the past which cannot be changed instead of looking forward to future or living in the moment.
An outfit can be only as good as the attitude behind it. Anybody can rock anything as long as there's confidence in the look. Confidence in a look is perhaps the single most important thing that can propel a look from 0 to 100 especially if the goal is to impress someone. Today's March fashion featured individual for this rainy spring day is no other than Eric, an intelligent young man with ambition and style. These days, Eric is out to look his best and in a couple of cases, to catch the attention of girl. Who can blame him? We've all been there, but with a bit of positivity, Eric's got all he needs to turn heads.
