"There will come a day where you feel like an outsider, but always remember that there is a place for you."
To come out of your shell is a process that differs from person to person. There are those who are born ready to put themselves out there, and on the contrary, there are those who take a bit of time to really blossom. The most quiet people as a kid can one day become the most outgoing adults. All it takes is time. Angelina, whose presenting her own fashion style for today, admits that she use to be very shy and quiet because she feared being judged by the others around her. Kids would pick and pester Angelina back in her young years. As a result, she was afraid to be herself. This was all until Angelina reached high school, and like a click of a switch, she began to started to become a whole new person.
The only way of getting over the fear of the unknown is to accept it. Those of the words of today featured April fashion featured individual, Gabby. She's come back to the blog to share a few words of how true happiness is a mental state. No amount of material goods or success can put a smile on someone's face until they can truly appreciate it. It's ironic how the richest people in the world who have everything still long for more but the people who have very little can be the ones who are the most content. We are also a society that worries very much especially about the past which cannot be changed instead of looking forward to future or living in the moment.
First we learn to crawl, and then we learn to walk. Once we learn to walk, we learn to run. Some people turn that human instinct of running into a passion including today's March fashion featured individual, Julie. With a mother who ran track during high school and college, it wouldn't but long until Julie's mom would encourage her own children to begin doing so as well. Along with her older brother, Julie has made running into a life long love and is constantly competing all year round. The athlete knows that on the track is were she belongs since it fills her desire of being fit and in shape. It's also given Julia an even stronger connection to her family and comments that she's a perfect puzzle piece to running.
For an athlete, there is a greater fear than losing a game. The greatest fear is losing the ability to play. That was almost a reality for today's December fashion featured individual, Alina, who is rocking an Urban Outfitters look. Alina is an avid soccer player, and she has loved the sport ever since she could walk. Unfortunately, her ability to even walk would soon be stripped away when she tore her ACL during a scrimmage game for her high school. Alina was told by her doctors that she needed surgery and that was perhaps the most nerve wrecking part. She'd never gotten surgery in her life before but didn't cry because she didn't want her parents to know how upset she was. When surgery day came, it was beyond hectic. Alina describes that it was hell between the pain and incapability of moving. What's most amazing though is her road to recovery after the incident.
